| Vice President of the Board & Programming Director | |
| Jillian Thacher has worked backstage for the company since 2006. She has designed props and costumes, stage managed performances and serves as vice president of the Board. As the programming director for the company, she also advertises performances, creates marketing materials, proposes and schedules programs and activities, fundraises and works on the donor program.
Outside of theater, Jillian is a history major at URI and a member of the Honors Program. She is focusing on American history, and plans to earn her master's in library and information studies with an education component along with a masters in history. Once completing these degrees, she is considering a PhD and teaching at a nearby university. She hopes to continue her work with the company while pursuing this career. A true Rhode Islander, Jillian has been a resident of South Kingstown her entire life. She graduated from South Kingstown High School in 2006 as a member of the Rhode Island Honor Society. She was active in chorus, band and orchestra, as well as smaller groups such as SKHS’s short run Klezmer Band. She was a teen lobbyist from the Teen Task Force and TTF representative for the South Kingstown Partnership for Prevention. She was also active in the Peace Dale Library’s Teen Advisory Board and Girl Scouts. Jillian strongly promotes optimism, and believes that dreams really can come true. She has her dream job, is studying her favorite subject, has a wonderful family, and is marrying a real life prince charming. She hopes everyone else finds just as much happiness! CTC Credits: |
